Communications and Events Co-ordinator – Medical Devices – Dublin West – July 2019 - Urgent

Our client a major Medical Devices company, based off the Long Mile Road, Dublin wish to appoint a Communications and Events Co-ordinator to join their internal Sales and Marketing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has 1+ years’ experience in pharma / medical device experience in communications and events to start a career in a company that has a mission to become the most progressive company in the life sciences industry.

The position reports directly into the Team Leader - Internal Support.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver internal and external communications initiatives using a range of channels to ensure the delivery of effective organisational communications.
  • Generate fresh ideas for campaigns and initiatives to support the implementation of business unit strategies.
  • Create, develop and adapt product and event marketing material.
  • Support the production of digital communications and manage company online presence locally.
  • Support the planning and delivery of key Training and Education events e.g. Symposia, workshops
  • Effectively manage company presence at trade show and event marketing initiative and launches.
  • Foster effective partner relationships to support the business. Stakeholder management of four business divisions, global communications and external agencies.
  • Company Brand Ambassador for Ireland, continuously sharing best practices in branding with colleagues in Ireland. Reporting all projects to HQ in Germany.
  • Manage creative agencies ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • The position requires a hands-on individual with exceptional organizational and communications skills who possesses a proactive, collaborative, customer-focused work style and the ability to work with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to this role along with experience in various communications media, procedures and concepts.
  • Familiarity with web design and content management are necessary in today's environment, as well as the use of social media & the creation of social media material as a communications tool.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within an organization
  • Previous experience of + 3 years working in an agency or an in-house corporate communications group (medical device/Pharma industry) is preferable.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe & Photoshop and design software packages.

An excellent starting salary (circa 38-40K) plus strong benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.
