General Manager and Commercial Officer – Pharmaceuticals – Dublin West based – August 2019 – Immediate vacancy

Our client is a pharmaceutical wholesaler established in West Dublin since 2005. They have an import/export licence. They are part of a large international group which is a key player in trading finished pharmaceuticals all over Europe and worldwide for the past 60 years. They supply finished medicines to wholesalers, pharmaceutical importers, clinical trials comparator, hospitals and governments. They also offer third party warehousing and distribution services.

They are now looking to recruit a General Manager and Commercial Officer to run their Irish operation based in Dublin West.

The role is a full-time permanent position

Responsibilities

-      Responsible of all the commercial activities in the company.

-      Responsible of the Commercial Department P&L result.

-      Responsible of company’s growth (Earnings, Turnover and Customers).

-      Responsible of all the team with what it implies including Quality and Regulatory Department

-      Responsible of reaching the Budget agreed with the Group.

-      Promote and consolidate new business lines.

-      Improve our market position related with our competitors.

-      Be the representant of the company when it might be necessary.

-      Change and promote the new company’s values and philosophy.

-      Provide the team with the needed resources to achieve their goals.

-      Coaching all the team

-      Identify, search and get the needed resources for the company’s growth.

-      Build the required team for the company’s activities.

-      Make the company an appealing place to work.

-      Generate synergies with partners (customers, providers and group companies).

  • Responsible of attracting new merchandise customers, especially the biggest ones in Import.

  • Responsible of establishing new commercial alliances with top laboratories.

  • Responsible of gaining new labs representation for warehousing.

  • Find, suggest and develop new business areas which are profitable.

  • Reporting to Group Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Attending to Trade Fairs interesting for the PHD’s business.

  • Responsible of attracting new wholesalers and establish new purchase alliances with them.

  • Regular meeting with labs to improve quotes or commercial conditions.

  • Monitoring all the orders placed to Labs and assure the orders will arrived at PHD’S warehouse according to the

  • Responsible for Warehouse full activities and for EMVO Policies in place

  • Responsible for all Administrative Issues

  • Monitoring GDP and SOP application in respect of local Law

  • Responsible for all compliance rules in respect of Company Ethics Code

  • Proven experience as a successful Commercial Lead in the Pharma Import/Export area

An excellent salary circa 80-100k (depending on experience) plus bonus and strong benefits package will apply to the right individual.
